Online Safety Live - free e-safety events

Online Safety Live is a programme of FREE e-safety events designed exclusively for professionals working with children and young people.

Delivered across the whole of the UK by SWGfL (South West Grid for Learning), we bring these events locally to you with all the very latest in online safety, including the latest issues, trends, research, resources and advice. We have been delivering this programme up and down the country for the past 5 years and spoken to over 15,000 professionals working with children and young people in over 350 events.

These sessions are completely free. They are two hours long and all delegates receive exclusive access to an online resources area following the session.

98% of professionals told us they felt better equipped to protect the children they work with as a result of attending one of our briefings.

“Superb course. The two presenters were slick, knowledgeable and delivered the 2 hour session with humour and lots of interesting stats and info. Best I've attended on Online Safety.”

"Yes, I thought the session was the best I have attended to date. The information conveyed was pitched at exactly the right level. It was informative, educational and entertaining. Great speakers who knew their stuff and conveyed it with a sound no nonsense approach and complete conviction. Simply excellent, a really well executed event! I left feeling empowered with a broad knowledge base to draw from if a new online safety issue should arise. Thank you."

“Thank you for the training; it was thorough and very relevant, with lots of useful ideas for taking back to our school to use immediately.”

How are these events funded?

Online Safety Live events are delivered by SWGfL, a partner in the UK Safer Internet Centre, with funding from the European Commission's Connecting Europe Facility Programme.  This is the reason why we can offer them to professionals for free and as a charity we also work with stakeholders around the UK who offer us venues for these events.
