Joint General Secretary, NEU – Mary Bousted

Every young person should feel free to be their true selves online. Sadly, too often this isn’t the case. We know that many young people are bullied, harassed and discriminated against online. Schools have a vital role to play to support young people who are experiencing abuse on and off-line and in preventing the harmful attitudes and behaviours that drive inequities in our society. We are proud to support Safer Internet Day and be part of this important conversation on how we work together to create an inclusive, better internet for everyone – an internet that embraces difference and empowers young people to be who they want to be.
