The theme for Safer Internet Day 2012 was Connecting Generations. The UK Safer Internet Centre was thrilled to work in partnership with so many people and organisations across the UK. There are over 170 logos up on the Supporters page of the Safer Internet Centre website, which share the exciting range of activities that took place across the UK.
To bring the theme to life, the UK Safer Internet Centre hosted a multi-generational, multi-stakeholder event in Parliament, bringing together children, young people, their parents and grandparents, plus representatives from industry, government, law enforcement, academia, charities and parenting groups. It was thrilling to have 34 primary, teen and parent/grandparent panellists and over 100 industry guests join us for this lively and engaging discussion. We also saw Safer Internet Day trending on Twitter as well as getting Prime Ministerial support for the Day.
